How Different ATMs Work With Your Card

  • SHAZAM ATMs. Your SHAZAM ATM or debit card can be used at any ATM that features the SHAZAM logo. You search for a SHAZAM ATM in a specific area using the SHAZAM ATM in a specific area using the SHAZAM ATM Locator.

  • Non-SHAZAM ATMs. When an ATM does not feature the SHAZAM logo, look for the logo of one of the two international ATM networks: Cirrus or Plus. Your card should display, in addition, to the SHAZAM logo, one of the international network logos. Your card can be used at non-SHAZAM ATMs when the international network logo on the ATM matches the Cirrus or Plus logo on your card.

How Logos Identify Use

The key to finding an ATM or merchant that will accept your card is to match the logos on your card to the ATM or merchant location you wish to use. Logos are displayed on the ATM or merchant location you wish to use. Logos are displayed on the ATM or at the checkout or point of sales (POS):

  • ATM cards. Most ATM cards have two logos or marks on them. They will usually have a regional logo (such as SHAZAM), and an international ATM logo (such as Cirrus or Plus).
  • Debit cards. Most debit cards have three logos or marks on them. In addition to the regional and international ATM logos, they have either a Visa or MasterCard logo.

Overdraft Protection

At Central Bank we are pleased to offer our Personal Checking account customers a special overdraft privilege called ‘Bounce Protection’. It’s there…. just in case you need it.

As always, we encourage our customers to manage their finances responsibly. However, as long as a customer maintains their checking account in good standing (defined as making regular deposits and bringing your account to a positive balance at least once every 30 days), Bounce Protection overdraft privilege may:

  • Provide our customers with a safety net of $400 up to $ 800 depending on whether one has a free checking account <$400>, a Now account <$800>, or a Money Market Account <$800> including non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees of $20 (per item) that may protect you if you overdraw your account.
  • Save our customers the unnecessary embarrassment (and additional charges) associated with having a check returned to a merchant.

Bounce Protection overdraft privilege is a non-contractual courtesy for our customers and doesn’t require any action on their part. As a Central Bank personal checking account customer, one doesn’t have to sign anything and there are no fees other than the normal NSF fee for each item overdrawn. As in the past, we will continue to notify our customers when an overdraft occurs. Central Bank customers should not consider and use the Bounce Protection as a line of credit or as a regular source of funds. It is an account service for which our customers are charged our standard NSF fees.

Central Bank’s Bounce Protection overdraft privilege limits are available to our personal checking customers by them writing a check or making debit card or ATM transactions. This service is not a line of credit. The customers’ limits may be reflected in their balance at the ATM or through our 24 Hour Touch-Tone Teller. However, it will be reflected in the customers’ available balance through NetTeller Online Banking.
